Stretching up the north shore of Lake Superior from Two Harbors to Split Rock State Park and inland to the Cloquet Lakes area, Silver Creek  is one of Minnesota’s largest Townships.  It was first established in 1890 by immigrant families of, Henry Clark and Ole Wick.  Commercial fishing, important in the past, has given way to tourism and recreation.  Current population is approximately 1,192.
